Wow what a week. We returned from 2 weeks in NZ on Thursday morning (arrived home at 1am - next time we will have a different flight time or stay a night in Sydney) and spent the last few days grocery shopping, picking tomatoes, zucchini, rhubarb and eggplants from the garden, cleaning up the backyard, preserving produce from the garden( sweet mustard pickles, tomato marmalade, rhubarb and fig jam, zucchini noodle slice) and unpacking.

Today we did a few things to celebrate 'love day' and Anthony was calling it. I made heart shaped pancakes, we iced the heart biscuits that we baked yesterday and then we had a 'love day' afternoon tea and wrote love messages on some heart shaped post - it notes. Oh and last night i strung some hearts that Anthony and I collaborated on a couple of weeks ago to make a simple mobile that I hung in the kitchen.

The thing that I am super excited about today is that I dyed a ball of wool in the crockpot using some Raro that I bought in NZ. Such a fun little thing to do - i was not really sure what to expect but so far so good. Its hanging up in the bathroom to dry at the moment. Must remember to take photos tomorrow. I cant wait to do some more. Now if only I could knit as quickly as i can dye the wool!
